  We were not informed from the start. It took weeks to get somebody to contact us back. Told us they would call us back and go over things and never did. We were constantly checking our documents for accuracy, many times they were wrong. The builder never contacted the mortgage people and the mortgage people never contacted us unless there was a document they needed signed. Said to sign it and they’ll go over it later and never did. I had to read 80 pages worth of information each time I had to sign something because I did not trust it. Thank god I did because I saved us THOUSANDS of dollars in error. The closing was horrible. Our closing appointment was 11 am and we got a call at 10:20 to “wire the money anyway” even though we never heard from the closing attorney. Told them we didn’t even know how much to send we never got paperwork. We got instructions on wiring between 10:30 and 10:45, and we were sitting at the bank trying to wire money 10 minutes before our closing, and then they had the nerve during closing to ask us where the money was when we were done signing all the documents. We are first time home buyers, no programs were talked to us about options and the process was extremely difficult that I often times found myself googling other mortgage insurance companies. This process was absolute torture that left us stressed and I would never ever pick Lennar for another mortgage even with the added discounts for closing costs. We honestly can’t wait until Lennar sells our loan to another mortgage company. Would never build another home with them or recommend to anyone. Our realtor said it was the worst closing he’s ever seen. I’m so happy this is over so I no longer have to open my email to a message to sign some random document I have never been told about. The only one I’d thank in this process is my realtor who went above and beyond for us during this horrid period in my life, and myself for catching errors and doing basic math that Lennar's people could not.
