      I will never bank at the Liberty Bank in Bethalto again. I was accused of attempting to deposit a fraudulent check from a reputable company. Calling the branch manager was frustrating, to say the very least. I’ve banked with Liberty Bank for over 20 years. I understand this is a time when companies try to scam people & send fake checks, but this was not my case. The teller at the Bethalto branch was rude and sarcastic and treated me like I was a criminal. No more. I’ll be keeping my business at the Godfrey location. At least that branch knows good customer service. I will gladly drive the extra 10 minutes to bank at the Liberty Bank in Godfrey. Just be aware. Not all branches of the same bank are managed well. I know Liberty Bank is a great bank as a whole. And the Godfrey branch?? They CARE about keeping their customers and they treat everyone with respect. Stay away from Liberty Bank in Bethalto.
