  Jill Derry was very quick, friendly, and knowledgeable! We asked some questions and she gladly explained/answered. Highly recommend if you can't/don't want to do your own taxes. It cost about 200$, but that's to be expected. You get $50 if you bring a friend.

  Liberty Tax in Fitchburg will never ever get my business again. *First my name was misspelled without my knowledge, because I was never even able to see the computer screen and when I signed my electronic signature, I signed it correctly but the preparer still made the error and mailed out my return with the incorrect name. *Secondly, I was told that the fees of $600 for my tax prep would come out of my refund, once everything was complete. But because my federal is not yet completed, they took my state refund of $413. Now this would be fine if they could prove that my federal was actually sent to and received by the IRS. *Third, this was a large amount federal refund because my ex husband has been receiving all the stimulus funds and child tax credits for our 4 children for which he doesn't reside with and won't even try to get visits with. I was told by the preparer and her boss this would take a matter of weeks and not to worry. An audit would generate and I would be all set because I had all the proof needed to show residence. I was literally told, before agreeing to a $600 fee, that I would have the refund before summer, and it "wouldn't be long at all". Funny enough that they refuse to get back to me via messenger, phone, or email. And their customer service is less that desirable when calling the 800 number for Liberty Tax in general. I would never have even called out Liberty Tax, but how is there possibly no proof of my taxes ever reaching the IRS? How can you charge $600 and have no proof of actual completion? Liberty Tax... you've lost my business for good. Too bad you don't care enough to even respond to your customers.
