  I have been a LiFE Credit Union customer for 7 years and always appreciate the personal service from the people who know me by name and are like family. Whenever I need a loan, they make it so easy! I just refinanced my truck loan to cover some boat repairs and Rhode at the Unicorn Lake branch took care of everything by email. I never had to leave my desk! I highly recommend doing business with a local credit union you know, like, and trust. I recommend LiFE Credit Union!

  Horrible service. I opened an account here back in 2015. They have steadily become worse. Closed down in February 2021 after the freeze and finally opened back up in October. Never once did they think to route their calls to the Cross Roads branch. Phone just rings and rings. No emails to customers with updates, or updating their website. Glad I switched to DATCU!

  I have to say for years I loved banking with this place; they treated me better than I have been at any bank ever. Unfortunately, under new management (Dustin) they have let go most of the employees who's friendliness, openness and sincerity is what made the experience pleasant. Replaced with "professional" (read: not friendly) employees, I'm now treated like a bother at a place I have banked for a decade.They have failed at basic banking tasks, like being able to provide monthly statements after repeated requests, or even contacting me when issues with my account arise. Randomly disactivating my card, causing automatic payments to not go through (nearly causing my electricity to be turned off because they never contacted me to let me know), sending me a replacement card with hundreds of dollars of charges on it I didn't make when it arrived in the mail, then holding money from my account to "cover those charges". Attempting to charge me finance fees on a loan that weren't owed... multiple times. Though they were in the wrong, and they know they were because they eventually dropped the charges, I had to fight with them, over the course of many months, to get the fees removed. The list is endless. If you want all the cold, impersonal service of a big bank, without any of the advantages, LIFE is for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and use another credit union. Rhode is literally the only thing, besides a loan I have, that keeps me there at all. Frankly, once my loan is payed off I'll end my relationship with them entirely. I've never seen a more thorough 180° turn around, from the best banking experience I ever had to frustration, annoyance and anger every single time I have to deal with them. Sad, but in return for the awful service I hear the bank itself is doing pretty good financially under Dustin, so there's that...
