  Honestly, the process wasn't bad. That's about as good as it gets. I was in a hurry and if it didn't ding my credit report so hard, I would have went else where. During the process we were never given information about our rate, any fees, what our payments would be or well anything. We get told that fees that we pay would be refunded on closing, guess what, they weren't, even though it was said to us and our agent. Even more fees that we didn't know about when it came time for closing with a surprise of many of thousand of dollars (loan officers are paid by our fees.. hmmm.) The first time home grant we got, that also got added back to our loan amount as something we had to pay when we were told we wouldn't. Our loan was also sold off to Lakeview Loan Servicing within the first month, which is a normal thing but yet another shock to hear because it was never disclosed. Come at your own risk. You'll get your home but shop around and get the right fit. I'll for sure go somewhere else my next time around.
