  Was approved for loan in August 2021 for refinance (told other lenders we were proceeding with Loan Depot). Only outstanding item was an "judgement" for a person with the same name as my husband. Told them several times it was not him. After months of waiting we received an email and letter, out of the blue, that they were discontinuing issuing us the refinance loan based upon the above. We contacted the company that was listed in the judgement for a letter stating that this was not my husband. Received the a letter back stating that it was NOT. Why couldn't Loan Depot have done this? Now we need to start over.... DO NOT RECOMMEND

  Go somewhere else! We have great credit and refi'd in Nov. We supplied all info and docs within an hour of receiving the request yet the approval was taking forever. Every time we called we never got a real person and ended up calling 5 different people going up the voice mail message chain. They rarely returned the calls in the same day. Our closing was well after the rate lock expired but they honored the rate anyway. No surprise to find out a month after closing that we were late on our payment to Wells Fargo, our prior mtg holder, and that although the signed and notarized loan docs were received by Loan Depot the did nothing with them and our mtg was still with WF. We had to pay WF and late charges and Loan Depot set up another signing for us. Needless to say this made us very nervous and called daily to make sure the loan docs were processed. Whew, you would think right? Nope, I am now in receipt of 2 letters from the county stating our municipal and country taxes have not been paid and are now late so I spent the day trying to speak with someone at LD. 2 hours waiting for a call back and 2 hours listening to hold music. Apparently, they assumed the municipal taxes were paid at closing so they didn't pay them and I am still not sure what the issue is with the county taxes. You would think they would call to make sure they were paid right? I can only hope that they sell our mtg to another company. UPDATE: I called the # below to customer service and they transferred me to an automated system that states my call is unable to be completed as dialed. REALLY?? I emailed them 2 tax bills, received an email saying that one was sent and should be paid within 10 days. Called the tax office and they have nothing. They only paid one of the two tax bills sent. I am now back at the phone game with them being tferred to the hold music. Customer service is non existent. They need to provide me with a phone no for someone that can actually help me!
