      We put a contract on a home with Mungo in September, when we did this we were advised that we would receive a $3500 credit for going with their "preferred lender" which was Silverton Mortgage. It sounded great when we were signing the contract to have the house built. Now its time to start going through the process of closing and Silverton isnt competitive with other lenders at all. Im better off going with another lender with no seller credit and its still cheaper, their rates are higher than any other lender Ive went through (I checked 5 others) all 5 were offering a 2.75% intetest rate and Silverton is offering a 2.875% I wanted to buy the rate down (points) to 2.5% and all of the other lenders were $2500-$3400... silverton was over $6000. Higher closing costs, higher PMI. If you are reading this and your buying a mungo home or any home at that SHOP AROUND! Dont get ripped off by this company. Dont get me wrong they were very nice but at the end of the day if you can get the same thing for thousands cheaper why would you go with Silverton?
