  I will never reccomend American Family to ANYONE. They took almost 3 weeks to send out an adjuster to even look at my truck. He spent maybe 15 minutes looking at it and decided that he was going to total it out. They then offered me 2 thousand under what comparable vehicles sell for in my area. I fought with them for two weeks, gave them reciepts for over 1000 in repairs that I had done in the past 6 months, sent them dealer advertisements of same year, similar milage +/- 10-15K similarly equipped showing what they are selling for and they refused to work with me at all. They also refusing to reimburse me a $320 tow and storage bill related to the accident, which I was not at fault for and are still holding $432 tax refund for purchase of a new vehicle which I got 3 weeks after the accident and was told that I should be getting. My agent was being helpful until I started to push back saying that what they are offering is not reasonable, and not inline with local market prices. Then his attitude totally changed and told me that "I just needed to swollow the bitter pill, accept the offer and move on". Those are not words of a person that I have been paying for THREE YEARS to protect my interests. Their excuse, they wanted to compare vehicles 3 hours or more away, which no reasonable person will call local. My agent has not returned my phone call in almost a week. I refuse to do business with them and suggest everyone else run away from them. They have been absolutely horrible to deal with. They always say that you learn how good your insurance is once you have to file a claim. They were great for 3 YEARS, until i had to file a claim. Once I did, they showed just how they really are.
