  I never thought that I would be writing a review for a mortgage company, and yet here I am - Sam and Arin at Milburn Shaw were seriously THAT good! My husband and I recently purchased a home and worked with an agent at Berkshire Hathaway. We shopped around for the best deal, and were immediately impressed by how helpful and friendly Sam and Arin were; even before we committed to working with Milburn Shaw, they spent time researching different interest rates and loan programs we could qualify for, which just felt very "above and beyond." We did ultimately get the best rate and package from Milburn Shaw and I was consistently blown away by how responsive, responsible, patient and kind everyone was as we moved through the process. I was absolutely caught off guard by how much paperwork and back-and-forth was involved in getting a mortgage (SO MUCH. Seriously.) and Sam and Arin answered all our questions quickly, professionally, and most importantly, thoroughly - I never felt like I was being annoying , even though I was nervous I was annoying everyone in their office constantly (sorry, guys!). At one point, I actually told my mom how pleasant our mortgage process was, and she laughed and said, "No one says that about their mortgage broker!" We had a 45 day closing on our house, which seemed really fast to me, but Milburn Shaw made it seamless, smooth, and as painless as handing over your entire life-savings can be - I hope I don't buy another house soon, but if I was ever in the market, I would hands-down work with Sam , Arin and their team again.

  Excellent. Quick turnaround. Very throughout. I found Milburn Shaw after I tried to refinance with my existing lender and found out that my lender, whom I had been with for 5+ years, was going to charge me astronomical in fees for the refinance. They weren't willing to budge from this. I called Sam and Arine and within a day they found me equal or better rates with other lenders and did not charge me any fees. Beyond that I found the whole team was easy to work with. They did everything necessary to make my closing process seamless. They did a lot for me to both tailor the loan to exactly what I needed and to make the entire process as painless as possible (lenders require a LOT of information). I am so glad I found them and would without a doubt  would recommend Milburn Shaw to everyone!

  It saddens me to give my first ever 1 star review to Milburn Shaw but I have to warn my fellow teachers, firefighters, police officers, and nurses or as they call it "superheroes", before another family falls into the trap that mine did. Be prepared, this is a LONG review. In February, I spoke to Arin and Sam from Milburn Shaw about listing our home and buying a home for the first time in our lives! They appeared passionate and knowledgeable and sent us a real estate agent from Milburn Shaw named Mike Mikaelian (Michael Robert Mikaelian) to meet with us soon after. During our meeting with Mike (and Sam), we did a walk through of our home, which Mike priced at a particularly high number. Both my husband and I were shocked but excited because we expected it to value at less. So, without looking into Mike and Milburn Shaw any further, we made a HUGE mistake and signed with Milburn Shaw and Mike as our listing and buying agent because we put trust in Mike and Milburn Shaw. Longer story made slightly shorter, our home was on the market for 60 days and was not getting the traffic of interested buyers at all. No for sale sign on our home for almost 30 days, constant tardiness and excuses, lack of regular follow-up, and Mike was nice enough but overall unprofessional. As problems started arising we started looking into Mike and Milburn Shaw. From the looks of it, Milburn Shaw appears to be larger than it really is because it is pretty much Arin, Sam, and Mike. Mike had no other listing anywhere!!! So, I finally asked him if he had other listings because we couldn't find any. Response was, "It's just yours under Milburn actually. Milburn Shaw is a loan mortgage brokerage. Homes are not usually listed under Milburn Shaw. I've just this year started a new luxury real estate brokerage division with Milburn Shaw under the name LUX Brokers...". People, we had to threaten legal action in order to get out of our contract. Don't be stupid like us and not research a company or interview multiple agents before signing paperwork. You should feel like your realtor's only agent, and even though we were literally Mike's and Milburn Shaw's only listing, we were never made a priority. After signing with a new listing agent and some minor updates she advised us to do, our home sold in 3 days!!! If you live in Santa Clarita, list with Laura Coffey and her team. They saved us!
