      The easiest thing to do is get yourself in debt. It can even be harder to get out. There are many different options out there. You can always file bankruptcy, but that will damage your credit. You can do debt settlement, but not only will you smash your credit worse than bankruptcy, but be prepared for a surprise from the IRS. I did some research and with advice from my credit union, I selected MMI. Asking for help can be hard, but the people at MMI made it as painless as possible. Signing up for the program is. Once they have your info, they do all the work. They contact your creditors and work out a payment plan. Their website is user friendly. It shows the status and the remaining amounts of your debt, and if you want to make an extra payment it will allow you to do that. Make no mistakes about it...The journey to becoming debt free can long, but MMI is definitely the way to go...The best thing I can end with is this: When you make that final payment...you will have paid all your creditors IN FULL and there is no better feeling than doing that.

      My experience with MMI was fantastic! They were very friendly, explained the whole process clearly at the beginning, and were very responsive with any questions/concerns I had during the pay-off process.
