  I got to know Scott earlier this year and I ended up purchasing my first business from him. As someone new to the process Scott did great job explaining everything and I really felt like he helped me every step of the way. Even after my purchase I can say that he has followed up with me and helped me be successful every way that he can. I had a great experience working with him, I plan on using him again as.a broker in the future, and I appreciate the transparency, genuine thoughtfulness, and care that he puts into his work. I strongly recommend him to anyone considering selling or purchasing a business.

  Scott Belden with Murphy Business Sales helped me through the process of acquiring another small business. Scott was as helpful as I could have possibly hoped for. He was very patient with all my questions, and lack of knowledge in this area. He never made me feel inadequate when I asked questions that were second nature to him. I truly don’t think I could’ve acquired this other company if it weren’t for Scott’s help. So thank you, Scott!

  I wish I could leave a lower rating. This was my 2nd business purchase and Scott Belden was an absolute nightmare to work with.  From day 1 he refused to take me seriously as a buyer.  Whether I had to send 3 or 4 emails to get a reply, or he looked me up via Google, he made it neat impossible to complete the purchase.  I had to reach out to Scott 3 times during negotiations to ASK him for a counter offer so that we could move forward one way or another.  Scott responded to my email with "you can move on..."  The tone of  Scott's email was so tarse that the seller had to reach out to me directly to apologize on his behalf.  Once we finally agreed on terms, Scott then looks me up on Google and we going to argue my marital status with me, although that had absolutely nothing to do with our business dealings. Some of the things I was being asked to provide and do were a little far fetched and things I have never experienced in other business deals that I have been involved in.  In the end, after insulting me numerous times, Scott decided to send me my deposit back rather than asking me if I had the cash or another source of funding to make sure this deal happened. I then called the main Murphy headquarters to speak with someone about this awful experience.  The gentleman asked me to fwd him the email communications between Scott and I. I obliged and got no reply.  I reached out subsequently and still never got a reply from him.  I am beyond disappointed in the lack of professionalism with this company.
