  I called Newrez to refinance my existing mortgage with them. I have been with them for years with an impeccable record. My loan office Dylan Lavern was non responsive, quite rude and told me untruths about my application (credit was frozen-not true). Please stay clear of this company.

  APRIL 25,2022 UPDATE: RUN FAR AWAY FROM TAKING A MORTGAGE OUT WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!! After 3 weeks of thinking my issue was resolved, NewRez did it again. I never reinstated my autopay, but they withdrew my mortgage AGAIN!!! The incompetency in communication between departments is over the top. I don't understand how they've been in business. Oh how I wish I could get a new mortgage company... 3 weeks earlier: Been an auto pay customer for years. I get a letter in the mail stating I didn't pay my March mortgage payment. And how did that happen?? I never called to cancel. Second time this has happened to me. When I spoke with customer service and asked for an explanation of why they cancelled my auto pay, she told me she nor the payment center could provide an explanation. As a customer, wouldn't you think I have a right to know why they randomly dropped my payment method? No forewarning, nothing. Good thing I wasn't out of town bc then I would have gotten charged late fees, etc bc I had no idea. Not a satisfied customer at all.
