  My husband and I have been banking with Old Point for 4 years. I can only speak for the Independence location, and I have only nice things to say. They're not only helpful, but personable; always asking about how we're doing and sharing their own stories. Sometimes I'll go into the location to do something I could have done on the app just so I can sit down and talk. I'll be banking here for a long time to come.

  So I have recently opened up a new motorcycle loan with this Bank due to its low interest rate. I logged on to old point national Bank website to find I am unable to transfer from my Bank of America to my loan with old point like a normal bank. Naturally my first instinct is to go to one of their locations off South Independence and see if it is user error so I may conveniently start paying my loan. While waiting in the Drive-Thru line I watched and listened as a teller had a personal conversation with a patron about personal things.I sat there for what one would consider an absurd amount of time thinking that there must be a viable reason for waiting such a long time with only one person being "helped." Guess I'll never know, I left the bank after being disgusted and decided I would call them on my way home to see if they would help me with my issue. The customer service/teller I spoke with told me I would have to fill out paperwork to start an online transfer. She genuinely seem uninterested in her job, which now that I say it out loud is kind of sad.for all you reading this do you know that deep down gut feeling you get when you made a poor decision. That's the feeling I have on first interaction with these people at this Bank. On the bright side for the bank I will pay off my loan as quickly as possible so I never have to be subjected to such absolute ridiculous service that would force me to go all karen online and write a Google review. Seriously, if you get the chance to have a loan with another bank at a higher APR% but greater convenience and customer service.........take it! Sorry for going all Karen.

  I've had some good experience so far with the Norfolk Granby Street location that bank manager is extremely nice the only thing is I opened an account at the end out August and I still don't have a debit card and it's so hard to set up an online banking like any other bank
