  This bank has the worst customer service I ever received from a bank in my entire life. First of all I called the bank prior to going in order to make sure they have a notary. Yes it was close to closing time around 6:30 p.m. I spoke with a woman named Christine who asked me what kind of document I needed notarized. I explain to her and she said yes I guess that's something we can do. I immediately got off the phone and made my way to the bank. Mind you I just recently had foot surgery and I'm on knee wheeler. I get to the Bank located inside the stop & shop and there's a woman standing in front. I asked her if she was a notary and she said yes. I told her I spoke with Christine on the phone and she told me I would be able to have a document notarized. I showed her the document (a simple verification) and she told me sorry this is something she's not able to notarize. Clearly upset, I explained to her how come I wasn't told that on the phone, especially since she told me she was standing next to Christine while I was on the phone. I continue to say how come she didn't get on the phone if she was the one to do the notary for further clarification on the document that needed to be notarized. She just said sorry I can't help you and said it's our policy.She then tried to direct me to a funeral home to get something notarized...lol. I then asked her for her name and card. She then proceeded to give me the card of Denise A. Kondas...it seemed as though she just picked any card and gave it to me. The woman was a fairly short woman with curly blackish red hair. Anyway...This was a very unfortunate experience and I will never go to People's United Bank again. I suggest if you're reading this review...you find a better more reputable Bank to do your business with!!
