  I joined People's Bank way back when they opened this branch in the old temporary building. It was amazing. The service was great, the people were friendly, and the atmosphere was good. Over the years however, they've gone downhill fast. I take issue with a bank that doesn't take it's customers seriously. COVID was brutal to small businesses like mine, and you'd think a bank that touts their "community roots and small business services" would work hard for their local clients. We tried desperately to get an SBA loan for equipment, but they kept tossing me back and forth like they didn't want to do the paperwork. I had 50% of the money needed for a cheap parcel of land I needed, but had to borrow $3500 to do the deal. They wouldn't let me take out a signature loan.. They said it had to be a mortgage loan. For $3500?! We've moved most of our business to another local bank now.
