  Purchasing a home went smoothly. That would be the only reason I would give them 2 stars... No issues. They were great to work with. Actually paying the mortgage over the next few years was a headache. Constant mistakes. Late on paying taxes. Over charging us on PMI so that our escrow account had a very large cushion for them. These are just a couple of examples of their mistakes. When we went to refinance with someone else after 5 years They sent a payoff statement with the wrong amount owed. It was $6k less than we thought. We requested a new payoff statement just to be sure. They sent & it had same numbers. We figured that they've messed up on so many other things. Maybe they actually got this right. So we proceeded. Just before we went to close, we find out that those last 2 payoff were wrong & that we actually owed $9k more than we originally thought! It caused delays in our refi which ended up costing us more @ closing. When we contacted them about it (which was nearly impossible to talk to someone) all they had to say was sorry for your inconvienence. Getting a loan through Platinum was great. Actually paying the mortgage, which is something you will deal with for years, not so much.
