I locked a purchase loan in May of this year with a closing date set for Friday, June 15th. It was Cleared To Close on June 8th and scheduled for a 2 pm closing on June 15th. On June 11th - I get an email stating that our branch will close at 2 pm starting June 15th. After informing the branch that this closing was already scheduled for 2 pm that day - it didn't matter. Morgan Faricy would not honor the closing. He said that I needed the documents in by 1pm or we have to reschedule for Monday the 18th. He absolutely did not care one bit about all the people involved. The attorneys had to scramble and rearrange their schedules - my client had to change his work schedule and of course the title company had to squeeze the closing in. Everyone was under such stress and made that closing absolutely miserable.
