  office is always closed, nobody ever answers the phone. if someone does happen to help you they’re rude and will make it seem like you’re bothering them

  Hello Nancy. I am reaching out to see how I may be of assistance to you. I can not determine if you are a current tenant however I can share with you the following: 1. Staff arrives at 8:30 am daily - monday through friday 2. The phones are answered from 9am to 5:30pm daily 3. We do work weekends by appointment 4. Our Tenant Handbook offers several ways to interact with the office including texting, email, 24/7 maintenance call center, and the tenant portal. We recommend the tenant portal and email instead of calling because it is a better source of documentation and tracking of issues 5. I am always available to assist tenants if they have an issue not being resolved by the office staff 6. We have a mail drop slot at the office for any after hours drop off. With all of these measures in place, it would be very helpful to get more specific details regarding the statement made above.   Withheld part of our security deposit to polish a portion of the floor even though they demanded that we hire whole-house cleaners (including floors) and carpet cleaners on our own dime. There was no inspection done by Re831 between tenants whatsoever, and there was no cleaning hired by the previous tenants before we moved in. We got to live in a house with dirty carpets for a year and then pay to have them cleaned for the next tenants. And on top of all of this we had to pay a $200 "Roommate Change Fee" just to move in, because one of our housemates lived there the year prior. Overall it's just disappointing after being model tenants to have the company try and nickel and dime you over a $60 "floor polishing" fee. Stay away from Re831, they will find reasons to take money from you as a tenant because they know they can get away with it.

  Hi Max Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We do appreciate that you were a good tenant for 2 years however we are still required to enforce the terms of your rental agreement. The home was professionally cleaned prior to your moving in and we require it to be cleaned prior to your move out. Your rental agreement clearly stated the $200 Roommate change fee. The reason for the fee is that there is significant staff time that goes in to accommodating that request. Regarding the issue with the $60 charge. I did look in to this further and it appears that the move out cleaning was done prior to the actual move out and necessitated the need for the cleaners to come back. Of course, that charge does not go to us, it goes to the cleaning company and that is why we provide the invoice to show proof of the fee. The next tenant deserves to move into a clean property just as you did. I hope that helps you to see things from another perspective and I wish you luck in your future endeavors
