  I've never had a worse experience at a bank. I opened a CD account back in 2017 and in 2020 my account was closed and my funds were turned over to the state without so much as a phone call. The only attempt to contact me was through a single letter sent in the mail which I assumed was a statement and tucked away. Once I realized what it was I contacted the bank only to be told I needed to contact the state to claim my funds. After a good amount of back and forth for over a year trying to locate my money I was informed by the state that the bank reported the funds under the wrong name and that was the reason they couldn't locate it. I contacted the bank to have them correct the error but it's been over 2 weeks since and no one seemed to care. I still haven't gotten an apology nor has anyone made any real effort to help me. I keep getting the run around and I'm still waiting for them to fix the issue. I would never recommend banking with Salem Five. They really don't care about maintaining a relationship with their customers or keeping them happy.
