  Shawn and his team gave us the best experience we have had buying a home. Made it extremely easy when its supposed to be stressful, and ensured we were taken care of. Wouldn't use anyone else!

  I did not have a good experience with Shawn. We filled out the forms, and got him the paperwork he had asked for, and he sounded super knowledgeable about different ways of financing a home. A few days later, he told us we were approved for a loan, along with the exact amount. We even discussed our monthly payment, and were happy with what we were told. So, off we went to look at houses! Woohoo! Found the one that was perfect for us! I emailed Shawn and told him we wanted to make an offer that day, and was there anything we needed to do as we needed a preapproval letter. Crickets. I waited a week and called, scared we might lose the house if we didnt hurry up and get the offer in. Crickets. Finally, two weeks after my email a call with a lukewarm apology, and he then told us that we weren't pre-approved and had to get all of our 2019 taxes info into him (which have not been done yet) and he would THEN have to get it approved by his underwriters. Wait....WHAT???? Needless to say, we have not spoke to him since, nor has he even tried to reach out to us with an apology or anything! I'm still stunned that he wasted SO much of our time and our realtor's time after spinning the loan "approval" yarn. Do yourself a favor and don't buy into the song and dance. You'll be terribly disappointed.

  They let us fall out of communication. We went to Shawn Flinders in December wanting to pursue our first home. We weren't sure since one of us has a sporadic work history but he insisted that anything can be done with time. Within a month I didn't really talk to Shawn anymore but was dealing with his assistant for everything. I guess this is fine, but last communication was early February where I left her a voicemail and never heard from them again. My husband had switched jobs and I wanted them to have this information and I also wanted to know if this would affect our application and underwriting processes. It is now April and I haven't heard a thing. All I wanted was at least a phone call saying if we are still ok or not. Well I guess not because we haven't heard from them in months and I am very disappointed. They could have at least called us back to say it can't happen at this tine.
