We have been customers for about 10 years, and now considering to drop them. When we first started, they were very friendly and customer-centric. We have had 3 mortgages with them and a number of other accounts. All of the changes made in the past few years are not customer-friendly. The branch near us was shuttered and their lobbies are designed to remove human contact. I avoid going to the bank at all costs. I hate it. I only go there for transactions that are benefitted by a person being available to help me. Today, I tried opening a new account for my son. Rather than help us, the ācustomer serviceā associate (who had no customers) said weād have to go online or make an appointment. I asked to make an appointment. His response was not to help make an appointment, but to say he doesnāt know what appointments are available. No attempt to help see. The feeling of disservice is palpable.
