  The message I sent corporate: "YOUR IT, APP AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORSE! TRYING TO MAKE PAYMENT- PAY OFF PAYMENT- WHAT BANK CAN'T TAKE A PAYMENT??!! This is an unbelievable experience. I am 2 hours from a branch, I have spent the last hour trying to pay off my loan. Online, I had to ask it repeatedly to text or call me a number to verify me to make the payment. I finally receive the code and it said "payment amount exceeds the daily limit of an external transfer". Then, I tried calling in to pay by phone and they refused to take the payment BECAUSE THE CSR SAID I DID NOT SOUND LIKE A MAN! I verified my social, my account number, my DOB and my address and previous address flawlessly and she accused me of not being a man and said she would not take my payment that I would have to travel 2 hours to a branch to pay off my loan!!!! Your algorithm should be deciding my gender (Account #, SS#, DOB# Address, etc), not the assumptions and judgements of your CSRs. ALL OF THIS OVER MAKING A PAYMENT??!! SCFEDCU's archaic IT and customer service has been horrible for all 3 years. I want to pay-off ASAP and never deal with you again."

  When I first moved to Sc I started with SCTelco as my bank. Had credit cards and car loans all paid on time and without issue. Left and eventually came because of their good service. Went through a tuff time and trying to get back on track with the IRS and my credit. I have a new charge off on my credit that reduced my score from 643 to 543 from Spero for $76. This is on an account that I closed. So I called today to see what it is and how to fix. Keep in mind I didn't have over draft protection either. But apparently the account wasnt closed as I thought and since the company had my ACH info their allowed to withdrawal from a account I thought was closed. Overdraft protection or not apparently. So I asked if I pay the $76 will they remove the derogatory event from my credit. First I was told once I pay, it will automatically fall off. Which is not true. Once I pointed this out the lady told me the will not remove anything from my credit over $25. Very unethical company at best. Just so happens that can't see past a certain date now the account has been charged off. The other interesting part is I never received any information to be able to handle the issue before it came to this. So $76 has put me deeper in a financial whole. Do yourself a favor and bank with someone who has better ethics.
