  I have been a realtor for 7 years and am also a real estate investor. I have not had more panic and anxiety over a mortgage processs in all these years. I would stop doing real estate before I have to deal with them again. Before I started the loan I emphasized that the builder is very strict on closing date and I have to pay penalty per day if I dont close on time. They said my file was straight forward. They took about 10 days even to apply my certificate of Eligibility. After 30 days on loan process I get a message that they overlooked a VA change and need more documents for my wife's job. I get a rate extension letter twice with me paying for the extension even without discussing anything with me I dont know till this date for how many days those extensions were for. Even after the initial disclosure went out I get request for documentation four different times because they missed things yet again and or underwriter asked for more documentation. Keep in mind that I talked to the lender about getting things through underwriting even before appraisal came in so that we catch everything, that was promised but never happened. The closing date gets moved few times because the they missed to catch mistake in the documents and or needed more document. I came to know at closing that I somehow had to pay .30 points for rate lock when they promised that they will match the rate with another company. Here I am paying extra $2066 for extension that had nothing to do with or VA and pleading everyday to builder not to cancel my contract. I was thankfully able to plead to the builder not to charge extra $100 a day hold over cost that would have costed me extra $1500(paying for it in case of closing delay was in the contract). Also no one went over the final closing disclosure with me despite the lender telling me that he will go over the costs breakdown after the final Closing Disclosure was issued. On the morning of the closing I found that I had points bought when the lender promised to match the rate at no cost to me, I had to pay that cost at the end . I got help/ communication from the mortgage originator but it was mostly reactive help after things went south. I would suggest everyone to run away from this company.Thank god my mortgage closed after two extensions. I would leave real estate before I have to deal with so much stress.

  I received the most excellent, professional service. My loan was closed timely and I knew the possible obstacles upfront. I am so happy with my home and the entire loan process. Darletta Newsome was my mortgage officer. She knew her job well. So appreciative of her.
