  I’ve been going to Spokane City Credit Union since I was a young girl. My whole family banked here forever if that tells you anything!:) Everyone who works here feels like family as most of them have been here forever, so in my mind, they must be doing something right to have little to no turnover and get to see the same smiling faces when I stop by. Their online banking is great! They take good care of their customers and I couldn’t say enough good things about this establishment! Great rates too!:) I would recommend then any day over a large banking institution! Credit unions is where it’s at!

  worst banking place in spokane… walk up atm… buttons don’t line up with options trying to pull $340 atm hit me for $7.50 do not bank here I would rather smash my hand with hammer

  Updated 6/9/2022 — Not following my own intuition, I got tricked again when I requested a personal check for a mini motorcycle I wanted to buy (my primary is USAA and getting a check sent is difficult). I specifically asked if I needed to do anything with the paper check in the event I decided to pay with a rewards credit card for the vehicle (at least then I could wire the money to pay off the charge). I was told that all I need to do was shred the check up and dispose of it. Nothing else. I purchased the vehicle using the rewards card and decided that I would hold on to the check in case I wanted to purchase a second mini motorcycle. Nearly a month later, I ripped up the check and disposed of it. I logged-on online to view my accounts and discovered that I was being charged interest on the personal loan (for a check I never cashed). I made the call to the SCCU and was told that the account was still opened, I back owned back the loan, and being charged interest. I told them what I was previously told about destroying the check (nothing else) and disposed of the check a week ago. They proceeded to tell me they would have to have evidence that I destroyed the check. The only remnants of the check I had were tiny pieces with some little identifying information. I put the tiny pieces in a ziplock bag and raced to SCCU. I explained the situation and was told that SCCU and their management could NOT do anything for me regarding the interest charge (roughly $80), but could void out the check/loan and close the account upon me paying the $80 interest charge. ???? Seriously? That’s equates to 2000 miles of gasoline on my motorcycle. I had all my accounts closed while at the counter and will never do business with them again. As far as I’m concerned, SCCU is full of liars, thieves aka con-men and women. If any of you SCCU employees are reading this… I put a lot of trust in you and your word for 20 years only to left feeling like a victim of theft and leave this review for you. Downgrading stars to a 1-star.
