      This is the worst mortgage company ever! We are supposed to be closing on our new house today (after our first closing got pushed back 2weeks), but because of the incompetence of the underwriter at St Cloud Mortgage (the lender of the buyer of the house we’re selling) here we sit in a hotel room in limbo! If you are looking for a lender DO NOT USE St Cloud Mortgage! If you are selling and your buyer has a pre approval through St Could Mortgage, strongly encourage them to get pre approved somewhere else!

      Hello Raven... We understand your frustration, but we are not your mortgage company, we represent the buyer on this transaction. The underwriters don't work for us, they work for the lender as we are a mortgage broker. We are subject to their timeline. The realtors should be able to explain the circumstances that are allowed to be disclosed to you about the buyers transaction. There was a delay on the buyers side as has been communicated as soon as issues came up. The delay is not due to incompetence, it is due to the saturation and the long turn times in the market currently due to COVID, rates being so low, and the refinance market up over 100% from this time last year. All in all it was a smooth process and we have communicated updates to all realtors involved. There is no reason your sale will not happen as we have communicated to the realtors. We are cleared for closing, just waiting for the final Closing Disclosure to be issued to start the 3-day clock before closing. This is one last compliance item and we will be at the finish line. Thank you for your patience, and please understand, it is not a lack of service, but a reflection of the market we are in.
