I decided to give Stambaugh&Ness my taxes because my parents were going to get their taxes done through these guys at the time, and they had heard good things about them. It took forever to actually get my tax return back because they needed "An Official W-2 from the Army" when I had printed THE W-2 from THE UNITED STATES MILITARY website. (MyPay.gov) They had stated that I was missing a few things on the W-2 that needed to be on there to finish my taxes. I argued that nothing else was supposed to be on the form, and that the W-2 I gave them was as official as it gets. I got my tax return WEEKS later after not hearing anything at all, (summer time), after continuous arguing and calling to see what was the hold up. I honestly believe the person who did our taxes was purposefully avoiding us. 2-3 months later, I get sent a $150 bill for their "services", after how long they sat on my stuff, and for how long it took them to actually do a job they're supposed to be "professionals" at. I found this experience to be absolutely ridiculous and incredibly unprofessional. The one time I let someone else do my taxes, it takes half a year to see anything at all. If I could give less of a rating, I would. I'll do my own taxes from now on.
