      After going through dozens of transactions in Southern California during the past 12 years, I ended up thinking all escrow and title companies are the same; slow, careless and with random fee schedules that they adjust only if you get angry. Well, Jade Burrell (and Cindy Fern before her from this same branch) made me change my mind. In the latest transaction, FSBO, no agent involved (gosh I hope we could do agent-free transactions all the time), Jade closed escrow smoothly with no error, no back and forth in 3 weeks. Since then I am telling any agent I see they should work with Jade. She would reply to emails within hours no matter what. Professional, Reasonable fees, clean work. Thanks Jade.

      Homeowners insurance renewed during the time I was going through refi. Old lender didn’t pay it. Called new lender who said to call escrow agent. Left voicemail for Linda Yanez @ Stewart but she didn’t have the decency to ever respond. My broker even tried to prompt her to reply several times, but she never did. Was finally able to reach an assistant of hers who was actually helpful. Get rid of Linda…promote the assistant.
