      I worked with Mankell Hayes and it was probably the worst experience I have ever had in the real estate business. The communication was terrible and the service was even worse. I would never recommend his services to anyone. He often had no idea what was happening with the loan or the process. The loan officer was terrible and didn’t know what she was doing. It took 3 months to refinance our house. We were almost at our closing and we got a call that “one paper hadn’t been submitted to the closing attorney” turned out that NOTHING had been submitted to them. Do not go with this company.

      As a first time home buyer Superior Mortgage Lending with Mankell have been the worst experience ever. I emailed him on March 28 asking two questions. He replied “I can assist you” but did not answer my questions which left me wasting time sending him the same two questions again. This should have been a red flag. He finally somewhat answered my two questions then sent me his link to complete the application. I emailed back asking a question that was on the application. No reply from him. Next day March 29 I called, No answer, he calls back but hangs up, I called back No answer, he then called back. Smh this should have definitely been a red flag for me. Anyways when he called back he asked general questions then charged me $35 for a credit check over the phone. I should have ran then. Afterwards he said a young lady was going to call me the next day. March 30 came, nobody called. I called again no answer, he calls back said I should get a call back the next day March 31. Fast forward here it is April 4 still no call, no emails from Mankell or whoever the young lady he said was suppose to call me and I’m out of $35, inquiry on my credit report and no home loan information. This is not how you do business as a black owner.
