      If you expect your money to be protected by the bank (payments monitored, etc) then stay away from TCU. They won't do a thing if someone were to copy your card and will instead tell you that you were the one using it. Does it matter if police get video evidence or if you were at work while fraudulent transactions were taking place? Absolutely not! I'd assume the same were to happen if someone were to steal your card. I'm thrilled that I switched and wish I'd done a long time ago.

      Lila: I inquired with the branch management as well as with our district-level management about your situation, and I must stress that what you describe in your comments doesn't sound like how TCU would handle the fraudulent use of anyone's debit card. TCU adheres to the strictest security standards and takes any efforts to defraud our members extremely seriously. We were made aware by you last week about the fraudulent transactions and immediately blocked your debit card so it couldn't be used again. We then issued you a new debit card wen you visited the branch. We logged a dispute on your behalf to reverse the charges, and even extended additional credit to your account pending the investigation. However, because the chip in the card was read and recorded by the terminal used to make the withdrawal, network responsible for handling the transaction was unable to reverse the withdrawal based solely on the information provided up to that point. We opened an internal case regarding your card with our Legal Department, which has reached out to you regarding your situation.
