  This bank certainly let me down today. As times are tough I had my wife take some change into Telco. She went in and put the change into to machine in the lobby and got a receipt printed out. When she took the receipt to the counter she was told that she would have to pay 10%(25.00) because she is not a member. She said she would just have me come in and take care of it. Unfortunately the clerk told her that is not possible and wouldn't give her the receipt back. The clerk then proceeded to drill my wife for information on my account. This clerk then deposited the remaining money in my account (a member account which qualifies for free transactions for change). This clerk made my wife feel like she had done something wrong. She called me to tell me about it about she left. I told her I would call them. I called and left a message and was called back an hour later. After explaining the situation I was told that that was the policy and the person I spoke with was simply dismissive to say the least. Now I know my account isn't large and this person made me feel like it doesn't matter. I don't need to say what I could have used this 25 dollars for. But for Telco to take this money from me on a minor technicality is absurd. I guess to some it up I hope that the 25 was worth it Telco. Worth me closing my account. Worth me telling everyone not to use you. So if you're not rich don't expect to be treated well at Telco, and watch out because they will hit you with some fee when you last expect it. See ya soon Telco when I come in to close that account and take it to a real bank.

  Bill, this is Angie and I'm Telco Triad's Marketing Director. First of all, I'm very sorry that you feel that we let you both down. We have done our due diligence by looking at the video and the actual transaction. I've also discussed this with management and everyone involved. Our new teller was being trained by another seasoned teller with this transaction. Telco Triad has policies and procedures that we must follow with all non-members and this was handled correctly. This fee would be assessed with any other non-member. We will assist you in closing your account and make this process as smooth as possible, if you so choose.
