  Stay away, I applied for a HELOC, had a short sale over 4 years ago. They denied me. They won’t tell me what standard they use for allowing a loan with a short sale on your record (every other financial institution uses 4 years). Unknowledgeable and unhelpful staff. They don’t know and of course I “cannot contact anyone in underwriting”. Thanks for wasting a hard look at my credit report too, third federal. Take your business elsewhere.

  This ‘business’ has the most horrific practices towards their clients for home equity loans! We asked them before we started the process, what was involved in its entirety and what paperwork would be needed in its entirety. We were given a list. Since then, we have had to procur and then send out endless amounts of other paperwork. We were asked to provide a W2. We provided a W2. A bit later, asked for tax returns. We provided tax returns. Then, we were told that that wasn’t correct and we needed to provide W2s stapled together with the tax returns and had to go back to our accountant, during tax time and get W2s stapled to the tax statements. Really??? Then, they wanted a copy of our truck statement (bill). We provided a copy of our truck statement (bill). Now, they are saying that they needed a statement (bill) of a truck statement with the total amount due on the loan. Hey! And guess what! After all of this, we have only one day until the loan expires. These are only two examples of the endless lack of organization and careless attention towards their clients. We have had home equity loans in the past, so we are not new to the rodeo. Also, my husband makes over $300,000.00 a year and we have two homes, which are both paid off. Our only loan is my truck. Both of our credit scores are in the 800s. Be warned.
