  Went to cash a check and it took 20 minutes because they were waiting for the Dr. Office to verify a check was written to us. So I'm sure they don't call every single person who writes a check out and wait for a call back. I was being profiled because of my beard. If you want to go somewhere were they are going to make you feel bad this is the place. Oh the name of the teller was Kim (caucasian)

There are several factors that go into verifying a check. Extra measures arise that are related to activity on the account and details of the check (examples include the amount of the check and whether the check number is in sequence of other cleared checks), and have nothing to do with the recipient. We realize the verification process can take longer than expected if the accountholder who issued the check is not available right away, but following protocol is part of our responsibility.
