      I went to Truist on Auburn Avenue for a car loan. In the end, we ended up going with a home equity line of credit. We were told we could close on it when we got back from vacation on Monday, July 18. Nope, had to wait until Tuesday at 10:30am. Then, the loan officer at the bank called before 10:30am and told us there was a new update on how closing costs that were paid by the bank were processed. Now, she was unsure of how long it would be. They had to wait to hear back from the underwriter. I called again Wednesday morning to check on the progress, and they still had not heard back from the underwriter. Now, we are in some kind of limbo waiting for their communication from the underwriter to finalize. I should have went with Rocket Mortgage who did our mortgage for the home equity line of credit. I think they would have been better than Truist.

      I guess for normal day to day banking they are okay, beware I tell you, if you have a problem like identity theft it will be a totally different bank. You WILL spend HOURS on hold each time you call them. If you go to the local branch on Auburn Ave you have a higher than average of clerk reporting it wrong and almost aggravated with your being there.
