  Great experience refinancing with Trustco Bank. Nadene was there for me every step of the way. It was so good to be dealing dealing with someone locally.

  I walked into this bank and asked for some change in exchange for cash. There were only two people inside the bank at that time. One of the ladies looked at me and said: “Can you take your mask off? And your hat?” Can you even imagine how bad of a sales presentation that is? What if I wanted to open an account with TrustCo, and they said: “that’s great! Just take your mask off in the middle of the worst pandemic in 100 years, and we’ll get started!” That’s basically what they said to me, and I was offended. I told them I would take my hat off, but not my mask. They were fine with that, which makes me think they were just trying to enforce their own opinion on face masks on me. I have the right to wear a mask, and if I want to wear a mask, I will. I wouldn’t recommend this using this bank for anything because they didn’t respect my right to wear a mask, and if they didn’t respect my rights, what makes you think they’ll respect yours? It’s very unprofessional of this bank to ask someone to take their mask off during a pandemic. I highly recommend using a more professional bank, one that cares about your rights, and that won’t ask you to take your mask off.

  I made a house payment from my account and two payments were made instead of 1. I only use my checking account to pay my mortgage and not anything else. The bank charged me a 36.00 overdraft fee because they said it wasn't the banks fault which I disagree. I would understand the fee if I went shopping and didn't have the money in my account. I have a savings account also which any extra money I have in checking I transfer to the savings after my house payment is made. I'm going to look at closing my savings and move the money to my other bank's savings account if im going to be treated like this.
