      I contacted 4 different banks including U.S Bank for comparing conventional home loan offers. U.S. Bank's service was horrible from the outset. The first phone call I placed with Cindy was short. She took down my email, but didn't have time for any of my questions. The other potential lenders were more than happy to field my questions. Next, she sent me the forms to complete for the pre-approval. I returned them. Not only did she complete the pre-approval, but she made the huge assumption that I was already committed to going forward with their loan offer! I wasn't even in a contract to buy a home. None of the other lenders expected me to commit to their loan offers upon receipt of the pre-approval. U.S. Bank seems to do things differently. I would never recommend them to anyone. Give Tri-Counties and call and you will at least have a knowledgeable and friendly loan officer to work with.
