      Tried opening an account twice here and was told that I arrived too late. Business closes at 6pm and I arrived first time around 4pm and second time around 4:30pm but the the one and only person that can open accounts leaves at 5pm. Train your staff to open accounts for your customers. They’re just standing there doing nothing either way. Wells Fargo next door actually welcomes everyone in until closing time, maybe they should take a peak and learn a little from them.

      Unacceptable customer service at this particular branch. I would give zero stars, but I gave once star for the helpful teller who allowed me to make a deposit. Thanks be been banking with Union Bank for well over 20 years. I brought my father to the Wilshire/Westwood branch just before 3:30pm for him to open an account. We waited outside the locked doors, per the security guard’s instructions, for a couple minutes in the lobby before a teller let us inside the bank. Once inside we asked how long it would take to open an account. The teller asked the banker in charge of accounts. The banker said that they don’t open accounts after 3:30pm. I looked at my watch and it was literally 3:31. The banker wouldn’t make eye contact and ignored me when I politely asked if he could make an exception since it was only one minute past the cut off time, (we were at the bank at 3:30). He just ignored me and continued to play on his phone. Lazy, lazy, lazy. No interest in being helpful or even courteous. The nice young man who let us in apologized and then went in to help me with a deposit I need to make.
