Locked into a mortgage rate of 7.25 % from 2001. Cannot refinance because WF demands that you do not have even ONE LATE PAYMENT in a 12 month period. With a mortgage rate that high and paying all my bills myself, honestly, I'm bound to have one late payment in a year's time. My credit score is good and I make just over six figures. So go to another lender, you say? At this stage, with less than thirty thousand owed on my mortgage, most other lenders want you to borrow an additional thirty to fifty thousand before they'll consider a refinance! Wells Fargo has me over a barrel and they refuse to let up. Pure loan shark tactics.
