  When my landlord decided to raise my rent, I decided it was time to buy a house. I already bank with Wells Fargo so to keep it simple, I went to them for my mortgage. I filled out the mini application and was picked up by Gerald Green out of the Summit NJ office. At first everything was good, and he was very aware that I had a strict deadline to sign final closing papers. However, after I had chosen the house, after I paid the earnest money, and after I had already paid for the inspection, as my deadline came (and went) it became increasingly more difficult to reach Mr. Green. I even called his office twice, leaving messages on the office manager's voice mail, with no response from Mr. Green or Wells Fargo. It took 10 days to get a response from Mr. Green, after I threatened legal action, and he simply stated that he was having a personal issue and would not be able to process my loan. By then, all of my important papers had been tucked away into storage and starting the process over with a new mortgage company would cost more tome and money. Ultimately, Mr. Gerald Green cost me the house I was going to buy and plus weeks in a hotel trying to find an apartment to rent. I would give ZERO STARS if I could and I will not be banking with Wells Fargo much longer.
