      I used Wintrust Mortgage at the request of my realtor and I had a good experience. Closing moved two days due to getting all paperwork in. I closed Sept 2020 and have no complaints thus far.

      I can absolutely attest to what the other person said here. If you want to be treated like a stack of papers and not a human, use Win-Distrust. We missed our closing date as well. WE had to make sure the process was moving along at all points. I really do hope others see this and choose any other financial institution for a major purchase/loan. I wouldn't at this point trust anyone at Wintrust with the money in my child's piggy bank.

      60+ days late to close. Tons, tons, of false promises. At one point I was told “minutes away from final approval, keep refreshing your browser if you do t see it in a few minutes”. I was told “by end of today” at least a half-dozen times. This went on for over a month. And thousands of dollars in concessions to the seller later they finally got final approval. Then they just needed to get closing docs to attorney. Simple right? “Never in my life. Never have I seen this level of unprofessionalism” said the attorney after two hours of waiting (15 minutes delay they said).... then 2 more hours. Avoid this bank like Covid.
