  Altana Federal Credit Union never fails to go above and beyond. Every time I have a question, or need assistance, one of their talented employees is there to help! Most recently, Heidi Davey helped me find everything I needed for my taxes. I'm grateful for the personalized care and member relationship.

  First, I want to start this by saying I would not reccomend altana to any young adults wanting to build credit, keep reading to see why. Id love to give altana more but honestly the way they proccess transactions is messy, I've had transactions be pending for a week and then disappear, then it suddenly gets charged to my account days after it was no where to be seen in pending or recent transactions, or it will stay pending and take the money from my available balance, but when it processes it doesn't take what was held, it takes from my available balance. I've tried talking to a loan officer about a loan and was told that since I didn't have a credit score I needed a cosigner, no biggy, not everyone has people who are willing to cosign for them, again no biggy, but when I tried to speak to the same agent about a secured credit card later the same day, I never received a call back, and it's been over a week. I love altanas offers, and have had an account with them for almost 3 years now, but with this continuing problem I've been seriously debating switching. I figured being a federal credit union there would be more options to build credit or it might possibly be not necessarily easier but more accessible to young adults, but when loan officers don't call back for almost over a week, or come across as indifferent towards young adults trying to build credit, that too makes it hard to want to continue working with altana. Hopefully these issues can be resolved.

  I opened an acct. here because I was from out of town. I needed a local presence. I had the acct. open for about 10 months. One thing that really bothered me, whenever I went to the outside ATM I would get $100. The machine would give me 2 - $50.00. I had no choice in the matter. I would always have to go in and exchange it for $20.00. I would always complain to the teller. Nothing changed. No business would accept $50.00 bills. Anyway, I closed my acct. when my bank finally came here. The receptionist at the bank, Missie, I think her name is. Took all my info didn't say 2 words to me, didn't explain anything to me, cut up my debit card, handed me a check. That was it. I was the one that said "thank you" she didn't say "Thank you for being a customer of AFCU, If there is anything we can do for you in the future, Please let us know" This lady needs some training. I won't be back in the future.
