  This branch and the bank in general are trash. I have a business account with them and wanted to switch my personal checking from Chase. However the three completely idle employees at this branch refused to help me. They provided a number of excuses about bank policy and meetings but at the end of the day they spent more time arguing with me than it would have taken them to open another account for me. Not sure if it's because I have an accent or was dressed too casually to be respected but either way it was quite obvious that they didn't feel like helping me. At the end of the day I decided to just stay with Chase and will probably move my other account eventually.

  I was absorbed into the American Riviera Bank, not willingly or happily. I do like to patronize local businesses, but both Bank of Santa Barbara and before Union Bank (which I REALLY don't like) swallowed it up, Santa Barbara Bank & Trust. I think they do their customers a real disservice by closing at 5:00 AND have NO weekend hours at all, not even the drive up in Goleta. Finally, service seems to have diminished, not been enhanced by this merger.

  We are sorry that you're not happy! The closing time is the same as it was with Bank of Santa Barbara and both the downtown branch and Goleta branches are open until 6 PM on Fridays. However , we do open an hour earlier than Bank of Santa Barbara did - at 8 AM. Would mobile deposit which is FREE be helpful to you - then you could make deposits whenever you wanted? We also waive ATM surcharges so access to your funds shouldn't be an issue no matter where you are! We hope you will give us another chance and let us know what else might not be working for you so we can fix it!
