  Terrible experience. Had to come back three separate times to get a joint account set up because one of us is a Canadian citizen. Then spent four on hold over three separate calls trying to get internet banking set up. Another hour because there was an issue with the Canadian address. Lots of finger pointing between the different people we talked to which mostly pointed back to the Truckee branch. Then had the account closed on us because there was a missing form. No calls, no emails, no letters to get the form signed. Just closed. I understand mistakes happen, but I wasted 10-12 hours on this. 0/5 would not recommend.

  While the tellers at the Truckee Bank of the West are friendly, I have found the information about my account obtained from managers and assistant managers to be contradictory. I had a minimum balance needed to have a free checking account. I was told all my accounts added up to this balance. However, a continual "computer glitch" meant that I had to go in monthly and remind them of this. After numerous account fees that I did not feel I was liable for, I changed banks.
