  Dont know why the negative reviews but never had any issues and bank of the west makes me feel like family every time I walk in. Definitely will continue to bank with them.

  One of the worst banks I’ve ever dealt with. Their bank tellers are by far the rudest people I’ve ever dealt with in the banking industry.

  Stay away from any incentive or bonus BANK OF THE WEST bank will offer to entice new customers. FRAUD OFFER $250 to open a new account is a bogus offer and they will never actually payout. Specifically the one that they are probably spamming your Mailing address or email with right now for $250 to open a new checking account in 2022. Opened an account on 2/4/21 with an incentive offer. After a certain number of very specific criteria was met(read below for terms) All criteria was met by 6/30/21 after speaking with a customer representative on the phone the first week of January . I was advised to stop in at any branch to speak with a banker so they can look into it further.I followed up in this branch 3 times with their RELATIONSHIP BANKER II MANNY SAENZ After my first visit on 1/14/22 to see why the bonus offer had not yet appeared on any of my previous statements in 2021 as I was informed i should have already received it. The banker did his due diligence to see if it had been deposited and after found it had not. Manny stated he will send off to the promotions department and someone should reach out to follow up. 2nd Visit 1/27/22 Stopped in again seeing as I had yet to be contacted by any Bank of the west representative. I was assisted by Manny Saenz Relationship Banker II and he promptly looked up my account and information again. He then gave me the exact same answer as if he hadnt just told me two weeks ago. He verbatim said That he would send it off to the promotions departments and someone should reach out to you. I had to then inform him that this is the same information you gave me two weeks ago. Maybe it is because I am ethnic and dont have a large amount in the bank that he didnt want to spend the time following up but, he then said the he would send an email to the branch associate and branch manager that I had originally opened my account with Robin Bassey Universal Banker I at the Lakes office in Las Vegas. He specifically asked for my number and put it into the email so that someone will reach out ASAP. 3rd Time (Chasing an incentive offer that is clearly a bait and switch now. ) Called Manny Saenz Relationship Banker II to follow up myself as again heard no response to my inquiry. Not only was he rude and not letting me talk while i asked him again how to reslove my customer service issue he said that it is not his problem since it was opened at another branch and that i would have to reach out to them. Seemed bothered to assist me maybe if I had more money a d a different skin tone he would have provided proper customer service. 3/9/22 Update ZERO RESOLUTION CLOSING ACCOUNT. STAY AWAY FROM BANK OF THE WEST. Stay away from any incentive or bonus BANK OF THE WEST bank will offer to entice new customers. As of 2/11/22 Robin Bassey did reach out and had provided notification to her Regional Director. She advised that it will be looked into and I will be contacted when it is resolve. She was and
