  I recently had an opportunity to purchase a four plex that was $100k back of market value. The only catch was I had to come up with the financing exactly one week from the date of executing the contract. I found Michael online and reached out to him. Not only did his company answer on my first attempt to reach somebody but I actually got to speak to him. I was blown away with his knowledge of mortgage and also the local real estate market. We funded two days early and the fees were really reasonable. I would definitely recommend him to anybody. Thanks Michael and Barrett Financial Group.

  There should be a ZERO star option. Initially working with Barrett Financial this summer was a positive experience. The mortgage broker Mario Kirksey was responsive, at first, and it seemed as if he had our best interest in mind. That quickly changed. The lender they used sent out an appraiser who had no idea about our area in North Central Phoenix. The appraisal came in $12k under what was needed to achieve the refinancing goal. Now you would think that this is no big deal but the conservative expectation was the appraisal would come in well over $100k higher...easily. All of my efforts to try and communicate with the appraiser, lender, and broker went unheard. They just threw their hands up and said "oh well". They then retooled the loan estimate trying to charge me $15k more in closing costs than the initial $3k which is typical. I was so frustrated that they didn't care, didn't want to do their research that I turned to other brokers. I explained my frustrating experience to which they weren't surprised. As a test, I used two different brokers who each used different lenders and in turn, separate appraisers, and both came in as expected...well over $100k more than the appraiser from Barrett Financial's lender. So customers beware. I would recommend using anyone BUT Barrett Financial. My experience was terrible. I never post reviews as like most I usually just shake my head and move on. However, this time I felt I needed to save others from the massive headache and loss of time. Again, horrible customer service from Barrett Financial. Note that I have retained all communication in case needed to use later for whatever reason.

  I wasn't sure what to expect when everyone said to refinance my home. I sure was glad I found Michael in my search. He answered all my questions and was always quick to respond. I am saving so much money each month it's unbelievable! Thank you again Michael. I can't stop telling everyone about how easy you made it.
