  My family has used Benedetti's services for decades. Trent was the accountant for my dad's appraisal firm and their personal taxes. I now use their services not only for our personal taxes but also for our non-profit 501c3 corporation. Trent was absolutely instrumental in helping us found the company and get certified with the IRS and the State of California as a non-profit. Their services are very accurate with fair pricing. Highly recommended.

  Follow up ... May 8... We had not heard any reply from Benedetti & Associates, so we made a decision to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. May 15... Trent, from Benedetti & Associates, reached out via email stating he “… received a copy of the complaint filed with the BBB about our tax preparation services… ” I reply later than evening to his email that it is ok with us. May 24... We receive a message that Better Business Bureau has made several attempts to contact the business regarding the above referenced complaint. They have not received a response from Benedetti & Associates despite their best efforts. Benedetti & Associates has not even taken the time to reply or respond to a professional inquiry. Total Disgust.

  A very short summary ... My wife and I have discussed this in too much length, and all we can say is “Total Disgust” about filing our 2018 federal and state income taxes with Benedetti & Associates. I was sent SOMEONE ELSE’S tax returns! (Yes, you read that correctly.) I consider tax returns one of the most sensitive and personal financial documents. This is beyond concerning to me in a way words cannot even explain. Since we received our “completed forms” after Tax Day, there was NO opportunity to review them before they were due. What about our deductions? California state tax law allows 2% miscellaneous itemized deductions in 2018. Benedetti & Associates didn’t ask anything about my expenses. The offices of Benedetti & Associates took no time, nor concern, to communicate throughout the process; no time, nor concern, to ask any questions that might help our returns; no time, nor concern to get our completed taxes returned in a timely manner; and took no time, nor concern, to protect our privacy. Gene Peterson would be disappointed his clients went through such a fiasco. It is absolutely appalling anyone would be put in a situation such as this. I cannot believe my wife and I paid $295 to Benedetti & Associates to be treated this way. Total disgust.
