      I realise banks are in it for profit and not for customers, but the number of hidden tricks and fees employed at HSBC really goes above and beyond. I've never had such a confrontational relationship with a bank, and after weeks of trying to cancel an account I still can't shake the feeling they're going pop out of the woodwork and find another excuse to reactivate my account and charge me again. I've recorded the interactions and sent to the consumer protection bureau, but that's just another hassle to follow up. Stay away from this bank.
