  Always a good time at the downtown location, and usually great music is playing, which is something I didn't expect to get with my banking experience! Extra shoutout to John, who is super helpful & friendly & always provides top notch customer service.

  I’ve been a member of CCU for over fifteen years. A combination of disability related poverty and systemic discrimination in this institution has made it difficult to achieve financial independence. This institution lacks the knowledge and ability to provide its members with the tools to achieve financial success, and they choose to contribute heavily instead to local nonprofits instead of investing in their members. I left a review stating my experience and overall dissatisfaction which the CEO responded to by calling my home directly and asking if I wanted to “meet for coffee”, an invitation which I declined due to my neurological issues which make it difficult to communicate verbally. I asked a number of questions and attempted to open a dialogue by informing him what the barriers individuals such as myself face. I was offered financial counseling from a staff member who is not educated in these matters, then stopped getting a response. When I made a final attempt I was met with poor communication when making an appointment and spent 15 minutes with a member of staff who had previously advised me that I could purchase a vehicle with a 500 dollar loan. She was on her way out the door at 4PM while the rest of the majority POC staff took over the operation. I informed the staff that because the only available employment in Missoula that would make me enough money to get out of debt is exotic dancing I did not feel comfortable taking more debt and feeding it into an institution which funds nonprofits such as the YWCA but refuses to help their members avoid sex work. I was offered another high interest loan and refused a credit line for any amount. The staff I consulted with then proceeded to get in her car and leave for the day. I will not be doing business with CCU moving forward and do not recommend them. I do not support their operation or values.

  Joined several years ago and I've always had good experiences as a CCU member. It's nice when the lobby is open, but the customer service online is great and very responsive. I'd also recommend CCU to university students who need to open an account in Missoula.
