  David Hager is THE MOST honest Mortgage Broker out there!! I have used him sin his Banc Boston days and I have seen him go to the mat on numerous occasions!! He is has a high degree of integrity and works closely with his clients. Mortgage Brokers by and large take the application and then hand it off to their underwriter and then go dark. Not David Hager he worked and continues to work non stop in the proverbial jungle of mortgages and banks. The only time David cannot do his level best is if the borrower has bad credit. Then it is out of his hands and my recommendation is to pay your bills and establish good credit. I have seen Doctors and lawyers get turned down for mortgages and they want to blame the broker or the bank! David will always be my mortgage broker because of his detail and honesty!

  If I could give David 0 stars I would. We were given incorrect information from the beginning but because we had to do a doctor loan we were stuck with him and suntrust. Gave us the wrong closing amounts and we negotiated based on his false statements. He never rate locked us after our initial offer was placed and then tried to charge us a higher interest rate. After our realtor got involved and got David’s manager involved we finally got correct information. But now after learning our friends are having Similar issues with David I find it imperative to inform others that he is not trustworthy. Save yourself the time and aggravation and find someone else or just speak to the manager from the get go. Unfortunately we really liked David in the beginning because he was very nice but all the issues we dealt with, especially when he tried to make me sign incorrect documents saying “oh I’ll fix it later” - how unprofessional! We ultimately had to complete the whole process with his manager and the manager is who came to our closing. I will never ever recommend David to ANYONE and will continue to tell everyone we know not to work with him.

  I can't say enough great things about David Hager. He was the one lender who was able to get my client a loan. After she tried 10 others (no exaggeration), we contacted David to see if he had any special programs for her at SunTrust and he did. He jumped through many hoops to get her Approved and closed and although she felt like she was being tortured by the process she knew that we had her best interests in mind and the light at the end of the tunnel was getting closer. David held her hand the whole way and without his expertise, she wouldn't be a new homeowner today. We just closed and she is thrilled. Thank you David.
