  I give First Bank 1 out of Five stars. Customer service of the clerks: very friendly Customer service of the loan office: unprofessional Amount of time waiting for an appointment: no wait When we first called they were very persistent on getting us in to discuss a possible mortgage. First words that she’s says with us in the office is “I’m assuming your here for a zero down mortgage” yes we were there to discuss a possible zero down but asking which mortgage we were applying for would’ve been more professional. She didn’t give us her card, she called us saying she recommended us doing an in house loan for 3% we agreed and she said she had to call to make sure first. We waited almost a week and no call so I called. she said she forgot and would call me back. During that time she runs our credit score again (I’m guessing she forgot what that was too?) she calls us back quoted us 6k lower than what we were applying for, I tell her I would be helping out with the down payment/closing costs and she tells me she will not accept my money and only accept my Significant others (we were only having him apply-I was flabbergasted because I know for a fact I’m allowed to “gift” money as long as I write a gift note) when I asked how we would get a pre-approval she told me “this stuff doesn’t happen over night” she didn’t tell me how much a month we would pay if we went that route, I felt like she was rushing us off the phone. The attitude we got talking on the phone before we met was completely different from the attitude we got when we met her in person and it just went down from there. Since we could tell they really didn’t care about helping us out we went over to Great Lakes Credit Union and applied, it took us 3 hours to get pre approved for $75k...I guess it does happen over night! The ladies at the front desk of First bank were very nice but I’m afraid I wouldn’t recommend getting a mortgage from them.
