      It seems like every time I turn a corner First Horizon is nickel and diming me for fees. The customer service is already lousy to begin with. It seems there is no benefit for being part of this greedy Finacial institution. I’ve been a customer since Suntrust sold the branch I belong to. I don’t have one good thing to say about First Horizon. Go Find a Credit Union!!

      My husband went into the First Horizon Bank located at 88 Hillsboro St, Pittsboro, NC to cash a check, and came home extremely upset with his experience there. He said it was the worst customer service he had EVER experienced, and that he was treated rudely by one of the two tellers working there whose name is Peggy Washmund. He was mad enough to obtain, and speak her name. While he was venting, he commented that aside from the two tellers, there was no one else in the bank at the time, so he couldn't believe Ms. Washmund had the audacity to treat him like his presence was an inconvenience. Aside from this, for those who may be interested, I'd like to mention that, like some other less desirable banks, First Horizons Bank charges a $3 service fee to cash checks drawn against their own bank if the party cashing the check does not bank with them. I will never understand such business ethics. There are plenty of banks available that do NOT present such practices, and will proudly tell you that they would not ever do so! On that note, my husband stated that after being treated so rudely, he would NEVER consider opening an account there.
